Conservation- 'Olive Ridley' Turtle High Season Begins!   (published in Mexico)

Rains are here! June is marked by the beginning of the rainy season. But do not worry, you will still find sun and hot weather.

Along with the rains, the high season for the turtles to come out from the sea starts. Thousands of sea turtles arrive on the beaches to lay their eggs, which would naturally incubate in the sand until hatching.

Each night staff patrols the beaches to gather sea turtle eggs. The eggs are then transported off property for incubation, still in their nests, to best preserve natural conditions. During the incubation period, researchers gather and study data.

Projects Abroad is happy to hear that there will be good quantity of hands in the turtle camp to help during this time. Campamento Tecoman invites you to experience the work done for the preservation of the nature. A work that certainly is really worth doing.

Thanks to all the volunteers who will be joining us this summer, we are more than ready to start working in the conservation of Olive Ridley and LeatherBacks!

As one of the most traditional sports in Mexico, this is something you have to experience from time to time! This time was full of funny moments from the wrestles and from the group. The audience was specially funny this time.

Care Placement-Cielo para un Angel!   (published in Mexico)

We get really happy every time we have a new placement working along with us! This is the case of the orphanage 'Un Cielo para un Angel'.

Volunteers started working there about two months ago, the work done by our volunteers there has been so great that the supervisor of this care centre has asked us to keep the volunteer work going on.

It is impressive as they are only 4 people running the place looking after 40 kids!  So help from the volunteers is really appreciated!

Cielo para un Angel, is a home where children who, for different situations and circumstances, don't have their parents or they been abusive in anyway can find a safe and caring place. This shelter works altogether with the Family Counsel of Jalisco.

For sure we will continue with a strong relationship with this great place!
