Ghana is a wonderful place to live. They present themselves as 'the most friendly people in Africa'. I think it is true! It is so easy to get in contact with people and they are very willing to help you.

I remember my frist weekend in Ghana. I wanted to go to Akropong and because I didn't know how to get there I was looking around. Two young men saw that I was looking for something and asked me 'Hello Sr. where do you want to go?. (In Holland I've probably would have thought 'what do they want from me?' but in Ghana it is normal). I told them that I wanted to go to Akropong and the two young men placed me into the right Trotro (little bus used for transportation) and wished me a nice day.

I was amazed.

I am also very lucky with my host family! They are great, helpful, supporting, respectuf, big hearted and gave me the feeling that I was at home!
