volunteers doing teaching   (published in Costa Rica)

January 26, 2011 by   Comments(0)

Every day (Monday to Friday) volunteers are going to Martina Bustos, so they have different projects there, and one of them is teaching; mothers assist to the taching classes to learn English words so they want to learn it because they want to get a better life style so in a close future they want to learn English to get a job; in that way they can help to their families due to some of them are single mothers or they husbands are not working at all because tey cannot get any job but they want to help and support their families.

Martina Bustos Community is so happy because they like English, so they come to classes always , they have kids and they are coming with them because they can not leave them alone at home, in that way volunteers work together and we make two groups at the same time: one  for mothers and in the same way kids are learning English too, so we have kids next to the mothers english class...

It show us their personal interest to learn and of course they are working in a personal goal: LEARN ENGLISH !!!

Martina Bustos: a new placement in liberia.   (published in Costa Rica)

Projects abroad has opened a new placement in liberia, it is located 20 minutes from liberia city. It is one of the poorest areas around Liberia City and we heva some of the volunteers helping in this area, we have sport and care, and teaching porjects here. Sports projects are mostly important due to the kids love to play with the volunteers so they like to practice soccer .

Care is a good project for toodlers that live around there , so many kids are coming every day, they share unforgettable moments with the volunteers.

At afternoon time mothers use to go to the English teaching classes, because they say tha they want to learn English too. It is a great oportunity in this community due to they live faraway from the downtown and they are not able to go to the downtown to learn English because they have children and they cannot go with them because they have to walk to liberia city ( around 40 minutes) and it is too tired for their children , for that reason they are happy with the programs that volunteers are developing there.
